Autumn: Play dough meets nature

Here I have 2 activities to do with play dough after going on a nature trail collecting lovely Autumn bits like leaves, cones, twigs etc

Leaf Printing

Make some play dough using my play dough recipe HERE. I think nice autumnal colours; reds, oranges, browns and greens with scents like cinnamon, nutmeg, mixed spice add an additional autumn feel!

Roll out a ball of dough. Put on a leaf and roll over the top to press it in evenly.

Peel off the leaf to reveal the pretty print!

Play dough hedgehogs

Using the same play dough in the browns, oranges, yellows, shape them into balls and stretch out a pointed nose from one end.

We used cloves, raisins and lentils as eyes and noses.

And then use what ever you have from your walk as spikes. We used sticks, leaves, holly and holly as well as things from the kitchen including spaghetti, cloves, raisins and safety scissors to cut spikes.
